Rita Charalambides
Hello, I’m Rita. I’m a qualified counsellor and currently in my final year at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, working towards my Psychotherapy Diploma, following the completion of a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology.
I work with people who are seeking to understand the bigger picture of their lives — where they fit into the world and how they relate to their own story. You are shaped by your experiences, yet you are more than your history. Together, I will gently guide you in remembering who you truly are, beyond old patterns and familiar narratives.
My work is grounded in psychosynthesis and centres on the here and now. We explore present-day experiences, using insights from the past to support meaningful change in the present. Through meditation and awareness practices, we tune into the body, emotions, and mind, helping you connect more fully with your sense of self.
I have experience supporting people with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, family issues, life transitions and personal development, bereavement and loss, work-related stress, and self-esteem.
I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP) and the Association of Psychospiritual Practitioners (APP), and I work in line with their professional codes of ethics. I also attend regular supervision to ensure I am offering the best possible support.
