Q
How much does a therapy session cost?
Sessions are £60 for both face-to-face and online appointments. Payments are made on a weekly basis prior to each session.
Q
How do I book a
counselling appointment?
The easiest way to get in touch is via email, text or WhatsApp as I am often in sessions and unable to answer calls immediately. In your message, please let me know if you are looking for online or in-person therapy sessions. I will reply with my current availability within 24 hours of your initial contact.
Q
Where are your
therapy practices located?
I offer face-to-face counselling from quiet, confidential practice spaces in both St Albans and Bushey. Exact details will be shared with you once we book your initial appointent.
Q
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. What you share in couselling is confidential and stays between us.
There are a small number of exceptions where I may need to share information, for example if there are serious concerns about your safety or the safety of somone else. I will explain confidentiallu fully when we first meet and answer any questions you may have.
Q
How many sessions will I need?
There is no set number of sessions. Some people come for a short period to work through a specific issue, while others chose longer-term therapy to exxplore deeper patterns and create lasting change. We can discuss what feels right for you.
Q
I'm not sure whether
counselling is right for me. Can I still get in touch?
Absolutely. Many people feel unsure before starting therapy.
Getting in touch doesn't commit you to anything. It's simply an opportunity for us to have an initial conversation and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
Q
What is psychosynthesis?
Psychosynthesis is an intergrative, holistic modality that supports self-awareness and personal growth. Rather than just looking at symptoms, it views you as a whole person. It is a compassionate way of understanding yourself that recognises you have different 'parts', roles and coping mechanisms, alongside a central self that can learn to guide these parts to a deeper sense of meaning, purpose and values,
Q
What is Arete Therapy?
Arete is an ancient Greek concept meaning 'excellence', referring to fulfilling one's highest potential. In the context of my counselling practice, it reflects my core belief that everyone has an innate capacity for growth, integration and meaningful change. This perfectly underpins my psychosynthesis approach: supporting you to drop the masks, heal stuck patters and become the most authentic version of yourselg.
Still have questions?
Choosing the right therapist is a personal decision, and it’s completely normal to have a few more questions before taking the next step.
I offer a free, no-obligation initial phone consultation where we can talk through what you're experiencing, discuss how we might work together, and see if I feel like the right fit for you.
